SMI Patients
Posted or Updated on 30 Jan 2024
Across the Black Country mobile vaccine clinics are available offering the COVID-19 vaccination for people with Severe Mental Illness (SMI) and their carers.
People with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or any serious mental health illness are at increased risk of infection from COVID-19 and are urged to come forward for the vaccine as soon as possible.
If you are not sure whether you have an SMI which falls within the official definition above, we would encourage you to contact your GP Practice, or mental health team if you are in contact with one, to discuss your condition and the vaccination.
Advice and information will be available from the mobile vaccination team on the day.
