If you are eligible for a flu vaccination please call the surgery to book an appointments
COVID-19 & VISITING YOUR GP SURGERY - PLEASE WEAR FACE COVERINGS.
COVID-19 PROTECTIONS ARE STILL IN PLACE lN THlS SURGERY.
In line with current Government guidance patients are required to continue to wear a face covering in all healthcare settings.
Face coverings primarily protect others. so doing so- unless exempt – is key to preventing spread of infection.
CONTINUE TO RESPECT (2M) SOCIAL DISTANCING
TEST AND ISOLATE IF YOU HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS.
If you have symptoms you must get a PCR test as soon as possible & before visiting your GP. Rapid lateral flow tests should not be used to confirm infection.
lt's vital that you and anyone in your household isolate until you receive your test result, and for 10 days thereafter if the result is positive.
Wash/Sanitise Hands Regularly
We apologise if you are having trouble getting through to the surgery however we are being inundated with more calls than usual due to COVID-19 . Please bear with reception staff during this time who are working hard to keep the practice running efficiently at this difficult time.
We continue to remind patients that GP practices are open but are working differently especially as we begin to deliver the COVID-19 vaccination programme
Throughout this time we must ensure that patients still feel comfortable in approaching you with any health concerns so we are urging you to steer clear of any messaging to suggest that you are stopping any routine procedures.
COVID-19 is the single biggest threat to people’s health right now, and in order to get the vaccines to those most vulnerable we may need to deliver services in a slightly different way.
You may be asked to go to a different site to be seen and some appointments for routine services may be rearranged for a later date, but only if we believe it is clinically appropriate to do so.
Coronavirus COVID-19 Guidance
If you have symptoms associated with coronavirus including a new continuous cough and a high temperature, you are advised to stay at home for 7 days.
Do not book a GP appointment or attend your GP practice. If you live with other people, they should also stay at home for at least 14 days, to avoid spreading the infection outside the home.
If your symptoms are serious, or get worse, NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need further medical help and advise you what to do.
Only call 111 direct if you are advised to do so by the online service or cannot go online.
For the latest COVID-19 advice please visit www.nhs.uk/coronavirus.
If you have COVID 19 symptoms with other health issues or are calling about non COVID issues please hold to speak with a member of practice staff.
COVID-19 information for parents
When your child is ill or injured it is very difficult to decide if/when to call your child’s GP, NHS 111 or go the Accident and Emergency Department (A&E). During the current situation and while the government is asking everyone to stay at home, it can be confusing to know what to do. Click here for guidance
